Support Local in Myrtle Beach

We can’t stress enough how valuable it is to support small, locally owned businesses. Myrtle Beach is more than just a popular vacation spot, after all; it’s home to a community full of hardworking, passionate people!

Choosing to shop local helps keep Myrtle Beach’s unique charm alive. It’s not only good for the local economy, but also more eco-friendly than shopping at big-box stores. When you buy from area farmers and artisans, you’re helping them support their families while keeping your dollars in the community. Plus, local farms often grow their produce using more earth-friendly practices than industrial agriculture.

Save on Vacation Costs

Let’s face it, vacations can add up fast, especially if you’re dining out for every meal. One simple way to save money during your Myrtle Beach stay is to cook a few meals at your vacation rental.

If you’re planning to cook, why not use fresh, local ingredients? Myrtle Beach’s farmers markets are full of high-quality produce, meats, seafood, and more. Whether you’re grilling up shrimp or putting together a colorful fruit salad, you’ll find everything you need and more, straight from the source.

Meet the Locals

Exploring a seafood/farmers market is a great way to connect with the real Myrtle Beach. You’ll meet farmers, fishers, bakers, and artisans who live and work here—people you may not cross paths with while hanging out at the beach or boardwalk.

These markets are more than just a place to buy food—they’re a chance to experience the heart of the community. Talking with vendors gives you a behind-the-scenes look at how your food is grown or made, and it’s always more fun to bring home a souvenir when you’ve met the person who made it.
