The Best Restaurants in Myrtle Beach

To make it easy, we've organized this guide by neighborhood, so you can easily see which restaurants are closest to you during your visit. Let's dig into the details!

Garden City Restaurants

Looking for places to eat near Garden City? You’re in luck! Here are our top picks.

Conch Cafe Garden City

Eating a meal right on the beach sounds like a dream come true! Here, it can be! There aren't too many bells and whistles at Conch Café, just really good food that hits the spot after a long day in the sun. They don’t take reservations here, so you'll have to arrive early for a table with an ocean view!

Top Menu Picks:

  • Crab Cake Sandwich
  • Fried Shrimp Po’ Boy
  • Seafood Platter

Sara J’s Seafood

Sara J's is another great spot in Garden City for a seafood dinner that won't break the bank! If you're really looking for a deal, stop in between 4:00 and 5:30 PM for their early bird specials.

Top Menu Picks:

  • Sara J’s Special (fried seafood combo)
  • Seared Scallops with Grits
  • Fried Oysters

Murrell’s Inlet Restaurants

When talking about dining in Murrell’s Inlet, we have to mention the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk restaurants! You can enjoy a delicious meal with a spectacular view at these spots, plus you can go for a nice walk after dinner and enjoy the ocean breeze.

Wicked Tuna Restaurant Murrells Inlet, SC

You can't beat Wicked Tuna! All of the seafood is mouthwateringly delicious, plus if you ask for a table on the upper deck during sunset, you'll have some of the best views in town.

Top Menu Picks:

  • Wicked Shrimp (tempura-fried with spicy mayo)
  • Sushi Boat (great for sharing)
  • Blackened Mahi-Mahi Tacos

Drunken Jack’s

Drunken Jack's is a MarshWalk classic. The food is consistently great, the views are outstanding, and the pirate theme adds a fun touch, especially for kids.

Top Menu Picks:

  • Lowcountry She-Crab Soup
  • Shrimp & Grits
  • Lobster Ravioli

Sloppy Jose’s

A newer addition to the MarshWalk, Sloppy Jose's blends local seafood dishes with bold Latin flavors. It's lively, colorful, and a little unexpected—in a good way! They also have great happy hour deals, so keep an eye on their Facebook page for food and drink specials

Top Menu Picks:

  • Street Corn Dip (Esquites)
  • Mahi-Mahi Tacos
  • Sloppy-changa (a fried burrito-style dish)

Bovine’s Wood Fired Specialties

We've all encountered the classic vacation dilemma where members of your group want wildly different food options. But don't worry, Bovine's is perfect for that occassion! Their wood-fired grill gives everything a great flavor, and the brick oven pizzas are a hidden gem. Enjoy everything from pizza and steak to fresh seafood here!

Top Menu Picks:

  • Wood-Fired Ribeye
  • Seafood Pasta
  • Black & Bleu Pizza

Best Surfside Beach Restaurants

Known as the family beach, Surfside Beach is packed with great places to eat. These are just a couple of our favorite spots:

Bruiser’s Burgers

When you're craving a good burger instead of seafood, Bruiser’s hits the mark. The menu is small but intentional, and everything’s made fresh. We will say, it can get busy fast here, so you may want to call ahead or order online to avoid a wait.

Top Menu Picks:

  • The Welter Burger (with truffle mayo and arugula)
  • Fried Mac & Cheese Balls
  • Hand-Cut Fries

Dagwoods Deli & Sports Bar

Dagwoods has one of our favorite happy hours in Myrtle Beach! Beyond that, they have great sandwiches, plenty of TVs, and ice-cold drinks. You can't go wrong with that! It's a local favorite for catching the game too, so if you want faster service it's best to avoid peak hours (especially during football season).

Top Menu Picks:

  • Dagwood’s Famous Deli Club
  • Cheeseburger Sliders
  • Fish-N-Chips

Myrtle Beach Restaurants

These restaurants are a bit further north than our vacation rentals, located in and around Broadway at the Beach! If you’re stopping in there for a day of fun, check out these restaurants!

Captain Bennett's Calabash Seafood

Want authentic Calabash-style food? Captain Bennett's has an impressive all-you-can-eat seafood buffet that's a favorite among locals and visitors. If you’ve got room in your stomach, it’s more than worth the money! We recommend arriving early to beat the dinner rush and have a shorter wait time.

Top Menu Picks:

  • Alaskan Snow Crab Legs
  • Stuffed Crabs
  • Shrimp Scampi

Captain George's Seafood Restaurant

Oftentimes, when you think of a buffet, a more casual restaurant comes to mind. That's not the case here! Located across from Broadway at the Beach, Captain George's is famous for its upscale buffet experience. The seafood here is exceptional!

Top Menu Picks:

  • Snow Crab Legs
  • Oysters Rockefeller
  • Blackened Mahi

Giant Crab Seafood Restaurant

With its iconic giant crab entrance, this family-friendly buffet has over 170 items, including a raw bar, made-to-order hibachi, and a dedicated kids' section. Your kids will be begging you to come back here! Plus, taking photos with the giant crab at the entrance is always a ton of fun.

Top Menu Picks:

  • Prime Rib
  • Made-to-Order Hibachi
  • Huge Salad Bar
